Kerstin Hoenig

Kerstin Hoenig is working as a researcher in Pillar 3 (Social Inequality and Educational Decisions over the Life Course) of the NEPS. Born in Bonn (1985), she studied Social Sciences (Sociology, Methods of Empirical Research, Political Sociology, Comparative Politics, Social Psychology, Economics) at Mannheim University and Johns Hopkins University, MD, USA. She has been working as a student research assistant for the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research from 2004 to 2006 and for the SFB 504 project "Educational aspirations, reference groups and educational decisions" from 2006 to 2008. Her research interests include sociology of education and theories of action, especially educational inequality, educational decisions and quantitative methods.
