Sven Laumer is graduated research assistant and doctoral student at the department for Information Systems and Services. He is part of the research project “ Centre of Human Resources Information Systems” and is interested in the support of information systems for HR tasks in organizations. As part of his work at CHRIS he is co-author of the study series “ Recruiting Trends” and “ Bewerbungspraxis”, serves as consultant and gives talks at congresses and seminars about the usage of IT in recruiting.

His research results about IT adoption and usage, IT resistance, social influence and IT, and the IT-workforce has been published among others in Journal of IT (JIT), Information Systems Frontiers (ISF), Wirtschaftsinformatik (Business Information Systems Engineering) and MIS Quarterly Executive (MISQE) as well as in the proceedings of various conferences (including ECIS and WI). He is the winner of the ACM SIGMIS Magid Igbaria Outstanding Conference Paper of the Year 2011 Award.

In his teaching activity he is responsible for classes about “business process management and IT usage” and supervises bachelor as well as master thesis.
