Frank Schlosser is a Graduate Research Assistant and doctoral student at the Department of Information Systems and Services at the University of Bamberg in Germany. He graduated in Information Systems at the University of Bamberg. Frank has carried out research projects on IT business value, IT business alignment, IT outsourcing relationship management, and Service-Oriented Architecture. His research interests are IT business alignment, IT governance, IT business value, and IT outsourcing. The main focus of his work is on understanding and explaining how IT business alignment can be achieved and sustained over time, thus developing feasible measurements for alignment and management guidelines in order to improve the level of alignment. Frank has authored several academic articles in leading international conferences including ECIS, WI, HICSS, AMCIS.

Frank is also active in teaching by giving courses on IT performance measurement (with focus on the most well-known and up to date tools for controlling and evaluating the IT resource), and IT business value (covering issues like the IT paradoxon, resource-based view, IT governance, IT strategy, IT architecture, IT business alignment, IT valuation).
