University Governance

The Team that runs the University consists of the Chairman of the Board of Management, who has the title of President, two Vice-Presidents, for Research and for Teaching respectively, and the Registrar, responsible for management and administration.

A decision of the Academic Senate of the University extended the management team, with effect from October 2004, to include the Deans of the Faculties. In this way communication between university management and the faculties can be better and more intensively maintained. It is incumbent upon the Deans, as representatives of their faculties, to present the faculties’ legitimate interests and concerns regularly and purposefully to the operational level of university management.

Extended Administration

In addition to the elected members of the executive committee, the faculty deans and the women's representative are members of the extended university administration. The deans, as representatives of their entire faculties, are responsible for introducing their faculties' legitimate interests and needs to the operative level of university administration, both regularly and in a goal-oriented manner.
