Pillar 2 ‘Education and Social Inequality Across the Entire Life Course’

Professor Dr. Ilona Relikowski is particularly interested in supervising doctoral students in the areas of quantitative research on educational inequalities, longitudinal studies on cumulative effects of social and ethnic origin, and on horizontal as well as vertical gender disparities.

Dr. Ilona Relikowski is Junior Professor of Sociology with special focus on educational inequalities across the life course. She is head of pillar 3 (“From Elementary School to Lower Secondary School”) at the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS). Her research focuses on effects of social origin, immigration related disparities, and gender inequalities in education.
