Pillar 1 ‘Education, Personal Development and Learning from Early Childhood to Adulthood’

Professor Dr. Gabriele Faust is particularly interested in supervising students in the areas of competency development of students during elementary school and its conditions on individual, class and school level.

Dr. Gabriele Faust is Professor of Elementary Education and Didactics. Her research focuses on the competency development of students during elementary school and its conditions on individual, class and school level. Based on videotapes, lesson quality is analysed (in the domains of German Language and the Arts). During the last years she studied school entry and the relation of preschool and elementary school (“BiKS”) using “mixed method designs”. Lately she started to work on writing development (together with Dr. S. Pohlmann-Rother, “NaSch”).
