Professor Dr. Cordula Artelt is particularly interested in supervising doctoral students in the areas of large-scale assessments, reading and reading development, metacognition and self-regulated learning, competence assessment as well as teacher professionalism and knowledge.

Dr. Cordula Artelt is Professor of Educational Research (Psychology and Education). Her research focuses on reading and text comprehension, metacognition (development and training), self-regulated learning, methods of large scale assessments and the assessment of competencies. Amongst other outlets, her research was published in academic journals such as Learning and Instruction, International Journal of Testing, Educational Assessment, Teachers College Record, Journal of Research in Reading, Psychologische Rundschau, Journal of Educational Research Online and European Journal of Psychology of Education. Currently, she is editor of the Zeitschrift für Entwicklungspsychologie und Pädagogische Psychologie (German Journal of Developmental and Educational Psychology).
